Building Committee Rescheduled Approval Vote on Design Phase

LITTLETON — Shaker Lane Building Committee advanced the $99.2 million new elementary school toward contract documents, rescheduling its July 15 meeting to July 22 to vote on submitting the design development package to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Studio G Architects submitted 100 percent design documents on June 12 and will conduct value engineering discussions through July 24 ahead of an MSBA report due in late July. Construction manager Gilbane Building Company commenced cost estimating while Owner's Project Manager Turner & Townsend Heery introduced new project manager Chris Tremblay and continued environmental site assessment coordination.

The committee reviewed $661,040 in May invoices from the designer and project manager as the budget remained within the $99.16 million authorized project cost.
