Littleton to Begin Shattuck Street Traffic Island Work July 20
LITTLETON — Town boards are lining up a busy stretch of meetings next week, including a joint session between the Select Board and Housing Authority, while the library's summer teen and children's programming continues to draw families in.

Littleton's town government calendar shows a cluster of meetings set for Monday, July 13, including a Department Head meeting, the Council on Aging Board at 3 p.m. in Program Room 2 at 33 Shattuck St., a School Committee Negotiating Subcommittee session at 4 p.m. in the Murray Conference Room at the library, and the Select Board at 6:30 p.m. in Room 103 at Town Hall. Immediately following the Select Board meeting, the Housing Authority will hold a joint meeting with the board at 6:45 p.m., also in Room 103.
The following day, July 14, brings an HR interview session for Department Internal staff, a Staff Engagement Committee meeting, and the Affordable Housing Trust, which will meet in hybrid format at 6:30 p.m., available both in Room 103 and via Zoom.
Separately, the town highlighted a regional transportation win: CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association received a $96,690 grant to relaunch regional transportation programs. The town also pointed residents to its Massachusetts OPEB Summary Report, describing continued progress on long-term financial planning, and to a grant supporting accessibility improvements in Littleton. The Planning Board is also collecting input through an Acton & Littleton Transportation Improvement Survey.

The Littleton Public Library's Facebook updates describe consolidated teen programming for the summer: Friday Chat & Snacks, open to rising seventh- through 12th-graders, will combine the library's teen offerings into one weekly hangout featuring games, snacks, and art-making in the McLure Room.
Younger patrons have their own recurring draw — the Live Art Book Club for elementary and middle schoolers, which met again this week featuring a live reading of "James and the Giant Peach" illustrated in real time by local artist Kaio Scott, with time afterward for attendees to draw alongside him.
The library also briefly noted a temporary outage of its phone and internet service, though it remained open for in-person visits.
