LITTLETON — November 17, 2025 — Littleton Select Board approves six unanimous votes, defers town hall office plan to special meeting. The board voted Monday to accept Massachusetts General Law Chapter 32B Section 19, clearing the way for health insurance plan design negotiations, after Human Resources Director Michelle Leverett warned that rising costs and proposed plan features exceeding Group Insurance Commission benchmarks made the change legally required. Licensing actions included a change of manager for Energy North Inc.'s wine and malt off-premises license at 256 Aero Road, a new Class 2 auto dealer license for Zach's Automotive at 2 Harvard Road, extended New Year's Eve hours through 1 a.m. for Dirigible Brewing, and a use permit for the Rotary Club's December 7 tree lighting ceremony. The board set May 5, 2026 as the Annual Town Meeting date and voted unanimously on all seven formal actions. A proposed reconfiguration of Town Hall administrative offices — moving HR into the current accounting suite and relocating accounting to former Elder and Human Services space — drew extended debate over missing diagrams and scope, with member Chuck calling it "a land grab" to expand the town administrator's footprint; Town Administrator Jim Bourgault disputed that characterization, and the board scheduled a hybrid special meeting for November 24 to revisit the plan.
