Littleton Select Board Unanimously Appoints Lieutenant Landry as Police Chief

LITTLETON — June 30, 2026 — Littleton Select Board unanimously appoints Lieutenant Doug Landry as its next police chief, pending contract negotiations. The board named Landry at a noon session June 30 at the Littleton Fire Station after an all-internal search that drew four candidates from within the department — assessed by an outside contractor at the Senior Center and individually interviewed by each board member. Landry, in his 14th year with Littleton PD, holds bachelor's degrees in criminal justice and psychology from Westfield State University, a master's degree in public administration, and has completed a command college program through the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville; he is enrolled in a Suffolk University municipal leadership certificate program this fall. He succeeds Chief Jeff Patterson, who announced retirement effective September 1 after roughly 27 years of service. The motion was moved by board member Mark and seconded by member Chuck, with the full board voting in favor.
