Littleton Select Board Fills 24 Committee Seats, Defers Flock Camera Decision

LITTLETON — June 22, 2026 — Littleton Select Board approves 24 volunteer appointments and defers action on a privately funded Flock camera. The board voted unanimously Monday to seat a slate of appointees to 17 committees for Fiscal Year 2027, including reappointments to the Conservation Commission, Council on Aging, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Finance Committee, among others. Chair Gary Wilson abstained from his own appointment to the Disability Commission, which passed 4-0. The board also welcomed newly elected Town Moderator Cammy Bean, who said she is "really excited to partner with all of you to keep moving Littleton forward in the spirit of participatory democracy." An extended discussion on a proposed $3,000-per-year gift agreement from property owner Sam Park to fund a single Flock license-plate-reader camera at 812 Constitution Avenue produced no vote; Member Karen Morrison cautioned that accepting private gift agreements to circumvent a Town Meeting funding vote "would feel undermining" to residents who opposed the cameras. Town Administrator James Duggan reported that Littleton's Other Post-Employment Benefits funded ratio has climbed from 44.1 percent in 2020 to approximately 79 percent today, placing the town "among the stronger funded municipal OPEB programs in Massachusetts" according to a new PERAC annual report.
