School Committee · Meeting of October 8, 2026

Littleton's School Committee adopted PROTECT Act policies and accepted a $26,200 gift for a track water station. Superintendent Kelly Clenchy walked members through new staff protocols for law enforcement encounters, saying "nobody should be playing a hero here" and that only a judicial warrant, not an administrative one, would prompt district action. The committee also approved a Littleton High School exchange trip to Valladolid, Spain, with 14 students traveling April 15-24, 2027, at roughly $3,063 each; teacher Margaret Gillen called the program "reciprocal," since host families on both sides go unpaid.

Principals Colin MacDonald and John Harrington presented School Improvement Plan goals, with Harrington reporting 131 students took 234 AP exams last year, 91 percent scoring a three or better. The $26,200 track gift came from the Littleton Road Race and Track Organization, chaired by Tommy Prue. All votes, including policy adoptions and the gift acceptance, passed unanimously.
