Littleton School Committee Ratifies Three-Year LEA Contract, Names Finance Committee Representative
LITTLETON — June 25, 2026 — Littleton School Committee ratifies three-year teachers contract and appoints new Finance Committee school representative. The committee voted unanimously Thursday morning to ratify a Memorandum of Agreement with the Littleton Educators Association covering September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2029, with all five School Committee members and Town Administrator Jim Duggan casting affirmative votes as required by town bylaws. Chair Justin McCarthy and Clerk Elaine Santelmann, who served on the negotiating subcommittee alongside a staff member identified only as Kelly, described the roughly 10-session process as producing "a win-win" agreement notable for new provisions on workplace ventilation, air quality, and water quality — language Member Annalise Tabor linked directly to ongoing concerns about the district's Shaker Lane building. In a separate unanimous vote, the committee appointed Karen McCloskey, a former Littleton charter committee member with private-sector financial planning experience, to fill the FinCom school representative seat vacated by Mike Pru after his three-year term expired, with McCloskey's new term running through June 2029.
