Littleton Conservation Commission Continues Foster Street Hearing to March 21

LITTLETON — March 7, 2023 — Littleton Conservation Commission continues Foster Street industrial hearing, eyes Webster property acquisition. The commission voted unanimously March 7 to continue a public hearing on a Notice of Intent filed by GID Industrial Advisors for 265 Foster Street, where engineer Pat Conley of Beals Associates presented stormwater calculations showing post-construction flows would drop from 3.7 cubic feet per second to 1.2 CFS during a two-year storm event and that no riprap armoring would be required in the 50-foot buffer. The hearing was pushed to March 21 pending peer review by a consultant identified as Green and a geotechnical analysis of fill materials on the site. In a separate discussion, commission member Chase Kirby reported the Select Board had authorized the town administrator to fund an appraisal of the approximately 36-acre Webster property off Buckley Road, with the property owner expressing interest in a fall Town Meeting acquisition vote. Member Carl Melberg urged the commission to track conservation grant deadlines closely, and Kirby floated the New England Forestry Foundation as a potential funding partner given the site's timber resources and large-parcel character.
