Littleton Conservation Commission Approves Two Restoration Plans, Continues Water-Department Permit Hearing
Littleton Conservation Commission approved two enforcement-order restoration plans and advanced a water-department permit hearing at its December 2 session.
LITTLETON -- December 2, 2025, Littleton Conservation Commission approved two enforcement-order restoration plans and advanced a water-department permit hearing at its December 2 session. The commission voted unanimously to accept a three-part restoration plan from the owner of 172 Welcome Street, who had hired a contractor that cleared roughly 22,500 square feet of floodplain and buffer zone without a permit; the plan requires native seed mix seeding approved by Conservation Agent Tim, GPS-located stone boundary markers at the property line, and a three-year monitoring period with annual invasive-species reporting. A restoration plan for 359 King Street, where 43 trees were removed from buffer zone without a permit, was held pending a delineation field walk after commissioners questioned whether an interior wet area labeled "non-jurisdictional" had been formally confirmed as isolated. The Notice of Intent for the water department's 242 King Street residential connection project, DEP File No. 204-1030, was continued to December 16 pending peer review by the firm Green, with commissioners identifying stormwater sediment loading near Route 495, snow storage demarcation, and tree protection as open issues. The commission also voted unanimously to approve a $3,950 FY27 wetlands revolving fund budget, and expressed support for a native pollinator garden at Browns Woods proposed at no cost by land steward Melissa Kramer, designating Agent Tim and a commissioner as implementation liaisons.
