Shattuck Street Work to Begin Monday, Delays Expected

Drivers should expect delays starting Monday, July 20, as work begins on the Shattuck Street traffic island, according to the town's latest announcement. No further details on the project timeline were provided.
Littleton was highlighted for its work on accessibility, with the town announcing a new grant award tied to "Advancing Accessibility in Littleton," though specifics of the award amount were not detailed in the release. Separately, the CrossTown Connect Transportation Management Association received a $96,690 grant to relaunch regional transportation programs serving Littleton and surrounding communities.
The town also released a summary of its Other Post-Employment Benefits (OPEB) report, with officials saying Littleton continues to make strong progress on long-term financial planning. The July edition of the Town of Littleton Newsletter was also published this week, covering town happenings.
Residents should also note that in-person early voting information for the State Primary has been released by the Town Clerk's office.
A busy slate of board and commission meetings is on tap for next week, including a Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee meeting and a Conservation Commission session that includes public hearings on Webster Woods Conservation Land, a proposed project at 300 King Street ("Castle in the Trees Park"), and a matter at 550 King Street.

The Conservation Commission meets that same evening at 7:30 p.m. via Zoom, followed immediately by public hearings at 7:45 p.m. (Webster Woods Conservation Land), 8 p.m. (300 King Street, Castle in the Trees Park), and 8:15 p.m. (550 King Street). The Planning Board meets Thursday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. The Littleton Police Student Academy runs Monday, July 20, through Friday, July 24.
