Littleton Town Planner Details Form-Based Code, ADU Bylaw Progress

01460_ On The Go! · Meeting of July 16, 2026

Littleton's town planner debunks car-lot rumor, previews ADU bylaw vote for fall town meeting. Speaking on the town's "01460 On The Go" public-access program, Town Planner Maren Tuhill told host and Select Board member Kyle Bupp that zoning adopted after the Acton Toyota dealership arrived bars any car dealership at the former Donelan's site, despite social media rumors, calling that site instead "ripe for redevelopment" under the town's form-based code. Tuhill said the planning board has received an application for an 86-unit affordable senior housing development at the former mill site at 410 Great Road, and that extensive underground utility work, not a stalled project, explains the lack of visible construction at 550 King Street.

She said a rewritten accessory dwelling unit bylaw — barring short-term rentals and separate ADU sales — is headed to a planning board public hearing expected in early September ahead of a vote at fall town meeting.
