LITTLETON — Select Board cleared ZBA chair to hear natural gas facility variance despite conflict concerns. The Board voted 4-1 on a motion by Select Board Member Mark Rambacher, seconded by Charles DeCoste, permitting ZBA Chairperson Sherrill Gould to chair an October 15 hearing on a Boston Gas Company/National Grid variance to park liquefied natural gas tanker trucks at Kimball Farm Village, despite her legal representation of Kimball Farm property in other matters. Kyle Bubp opposed the determination, citing concerns about Gould's ongoing relationship with Kimball as a client.
Town Counsel Emily Meehan advised that the legal standard was whether Gould had a concrete financial interest substantial enough to affect the integrity of her services.
