Littleton Select Board closes special town meeting warrant, defers Indian Hill recommendation

LITTLETON — January 9, 2023 — Littleton Select Board closes 10-article special town meeting warrant for February 15, deferring stance on Indian Hill purchase. The board voted unanimously to finalize the warrant, which includes a proposal to acquire the Indian Hill Music Center at 32 and 36 King Street for "general municipal purposes," but withheld formal recommendations on that article, a King Street Common zoning expansion, and a Planning Board firearms business zoning bylaw. Finance Committee member Brian Tarbuck, speaking personally, warned the board that roughly $39 million in capital projects are converging in the coming years and argued repurposing Indian Hill as a senior center could save $8 million to $10 million. Board member Gary Wilson flagged overly broad "accessories" language in the firearms bylaw as potentially unenforceable. The board also approved a $74,000 Green Communities grant allocation for two hybrid police cruisers, a hybrid fire chief vehicle, and expanded EV charging stations, and contracted with Clifton Larson Allen for up to $80,000 in combined Munis software upgrade and interim accounting support services.
