Littleton Select Board Approves Fire Chief Pact, Police Side Letter at May Meeting

LITTLETON — May 22, 2023 — Littleton Select Board approves fire chief contract, police pact, and amended bar license at packed May 22 session. The board unanimously ratified an employment agreement with Interim Fire Chief George T. Clancy through December 31, 2023, and a side letter of agreement with the Littleton Police Unit Mass COP Local 204, both following executive session discussion. The board also closed a public hearing and granted amended licenses to Four Jacksy, an axe-throwing venue at 806 Constitution Avenue, after negotiating the alcohol service start time from the proposed 8 a.m. down to 9 a.m. weekdays — consistent with neighboring licenses — while allowing business operations to begin at 8 a.m. The venue's maximum occupancy was expanded from 66 to 95. Town Administrator Ryan publicly disclosed that the total settlement with former Town Administrator Anthony Anselde came to $232,371.08, drawn from the town administrator wages budget across fiscal years 2023 and 2024, with any deficit covered by surplus line items or the Finance Committee reserve fund. The board also voted unanimously to execute the Massachusetts School Building Authority feasibility study agreement for Shaker Lane Elementary School, with a $700,000 Town Meeting appropriation behind it, and awarded a $443,855 paving contract to Lazaro Paving Corp. of Shirley for work on Tahattawan Road and Harwood Avenue.
