LITTLETON -- July 10, 2025, Littleton Planning Board approves Harvard Avenue stormwater permit and prepares formal comments on the 550 King Street Draft Environmental Impact Report. At the July 10 meeting, the board unanimously approved a stormwater special permit for two new home lots on Harvard Avenue, subject to the applicant and peer reviewer Green resolving minor outstanding comments, and voted to allow the applicant at 600 Great Road to withdraw without prejudice after the Matherson family agreed to purchase the farm stand property from its owner, Gary. The board's most extended discussion centered on the approximately 1,200-page DEIR for the Lupoli Company's 550 King Street mixed-use project, with members flagging that the document identifies the boutique hotel as five stories in multiple places, a figure members said conflicts with the town's form-based code, and expressing concern that the traffic model, which cites 13,388 new weekday trips at page 7-76, underestimates congestion at the King Street and Great Road intersections. The public comment period has been extended through mid-August; the board scheduled a vote on formal comments for its August 7 meeting. Wilson Electric Light and Water General Manager Nick Lawler reported approximately 220 feet of sewer main-line pipe remain on King Street, with completion expected by July 18, and that the treatment plant at 242 King Street is targeting August 30 for substantial completion, with long-term effluent discharge capacity identified as the critical constraint on future development.
