Littleton Planning Board approves Building 200 improvements, opens Town Green hearing at 550 King Street

LITTLETON — April 30, 2026 — Littleton Planning Board unanimously approved site improvements around Building 200 at 550 King Street and opened a public hearing for the project's proposed Town Green at its April 30 meeting. Engineer Chris Raymond of TEC, Inc. presented the Building 200 plan, which adds rear-access circulation, utility upgrades, and a new stormwater system; peer review by Green International was complete and the Littleton Fire Department had signed off. The board then heard a lengthy presentation by landscape architect Joe Ficcicello of Halverson Design Partnership — a Littleton resident — on the Town Green concept, a linear multi-zone outdoor amenity space running north from King Street with roughly six feet of grade change handled through shallow terraces, accessible ramps, and a flexible central plaza. Project founder Sal Lopoli appeared before the board to thank members for five-plus years of collaboration and previewed a nonprofit senior affordable-housing proposal he said would come before the board within 60 days. Agricultural Commission member Jerry Cavallo, 8 Uplands Road, formally requested that the commission be allowed to facilitate a small Littleton-farms-only farmer's market on the green, saying "we want to reach out to where the people are." The Town Green public hearing was continued to May 14 pending stormwater peer review; the board also deferred action on a subdivision covenant and JLB LLC transfer language to the same date, when Town Counsel will attend.
