Littleton Planning Board approves $55,920 bond for Strawberry Farms subdivision

LITTLETON — November 14, 2024 — Littleton Planning Board sets $55,920 infrastructure bond for Strawberry Farms subdivision after tense last-minute negotiation. The board voted 2-0, with one member declining to vote, to approve the bond amount for the 95 Taylor Street subdivision, after the town's peer reviewer, Green International, and the developer's engineer agreed on the figure during a phone call hours before the meeting — with a follow-up email adjusting the total upward by $9,000 arriving while the board was still in session. Member Anna said the last-minute process was "completely not acceptable" to her and that she would not have voted that night; the chair pressed forward, noting Green International had not been available until 4 p.m. The board also unanimously adopted updated special permit forms for firearms businesses and agreed to invite the 550 King Street mixed-use developer, the LaPolle group, to present a project update at the January 9, 2025 meeting, as the development's infrastructure start is now projected for March 2025 with sewer service expected in September.
