Littleton CPC approves $458,000 for Fay Park gazebo and ADA pathways

Littleton's Community Preservation Committee committed $625,000 across four projects in a single meeting. The panel voted unanimously to fund a $458,000 Fay Park gazebo and ADA pathway overhaul, split between $150,000 from the undesignated reserve and $308,000 from recreation, after Disabilities Commission representative Diane said the project responds to a state accessibility audit: "Most importantly, accessibility is not being added after the fact." Members also approved $117,000 for a new accessible Long Lake fishing dock, up from a $65,000 initial ask, and $50,000 to temporarily refurbish high school baseball and softball fields before Shaker Lane School construction displaces them next July. Littleton Youth Baseball and Softball president Dave McManus told the board the league now counts "over 500 participants," up 20 percent in recent years.
A $500,000 pledge toward deeply affordable senior housing at 410 Great Road won eligibility approval but awaits a funding vote September 23.
