Littleton Board Approves Full Liquor License for Common Convenience Store

LITTLETON — October 10, 2023 — Littleton Select Board unanimously approved an all-alcohol license upgrade for Common Convenience and accepted 20 acres of conservation restrictions at The Point on October 10. The board voted to change the license category for licensee Joseph Mansoor's family-owned store at 5 Stephen Street from wine and malt to all-alcohol off-premises under MGL Chapter 138, Section 15 — one of two such licenses newly available in town. The Conservation Commission will hold two restrictions totaling exactly 20 acres as required by Natural Heritage permitting for The Point development at 812 Constitution Avenue, pending signatures from Natural Heritage and the EEA. The board also accepted a combined $11,000 in donations to the town's TREAD tax-relief fund, heard a presentation warning that only one or two residents currently use a 1-percent property tax deferral program available to hundreds of eligible seniors, and received a warning from Town Counsel that the purchase-and-sale agreement for the contested $1.6 million Webster property — appraised at $632,000 — fails to identify the correct parcel and may not satisfy Chapter land notice requirements ahead of the November 1 Special Town Meeting.
