Littleton thrift shop to close by Nov. 8 after church sale forces it out. Council on Aging Director Liz told the board the shop, long housed in the First Baptist Church, received a 60-day closure notice after the building was sold to the Concord Presbyterian Church. Volunteers are redirecting remaining inventory to Littleton High School, St.
Vincent de Paul, and Lowell's WISH Project and veterans' office. Board member Marilyn Fedele reported Minuteman Senior Services received a $50,000 estate gift in May, "the first time they've gotten anything like that, 10 years." The senior center logged 3,384 sign-ins in August. The board also finalized its strategic planning working group, set to hold its first SWOT-analysis meeting Sept. 30, and heard that the Affordable Housing Trust's Hebrew SeniorLife project remains roughly two years from completion.
