Council on Aging seeks $500 senior tax abatement increase

Littleton's Council on Aging director pushes for senior tax relief increase. The director announced plans Monday to request that the town's senior tax abatement cap be raised from $1,500 to $2,000, effective July 1, 2026. The Council on Aging voted unanimously to accept January minutes and approve the director's report, which documented 2,256 event sign-ups at the Center on Shattuck Street and distribution of 27 buckets of sand to residents in winter.
Board members also reported that Habitat for Humanity continues work with the town on two properties designated for affordable housing development.
