Planning Board Sets Hearings on Senior Housing, Retail Projects
LITTLETON — The Littleton Planning Board will hold public hearings Thursday evening on two significant development proposals, including a stormwater and site plan review for affordable senior housing at 410 Great Road, according to the town's public meeting calendar.
TOWN HALL
The Planning Board's Thursday, July 9 session at 6:30 p.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Center on Shattuck Street includes back-to-back public hearings: one on a stormwater management permit and site plan for affordable senior housing at 410 Great Road, and another on a similar permit for the Retail Phase II project (North & South) at 550 King Street. The same evening, the Finance Committee meets at 6 p.m. in Room 103 at Town Hall.
Separately, the town flagged several recent items in its news roundup, including a July 2026 town newsletter, information on State Primary in-person early voting, and a grant-funded initiative called "Advancing Accessibility in Littleton." CrossTown Connect, the regional Transportation Management Association serving Littleton, also received a $96,690 grant to relaunch regional transportation programs. The town additionally highlighted continued progress on long-term financial planning in a Massachusetts OPEB (Other Post-Employment Benefits) summary report, and an Acton & Littleton Transportation Improvement Survey circulated by the Planning Board.
SCHOOLS
Littleton Public Schools' district news page continues to reference a Shaker Lane Building Project update, along with recent items including a used sneaker drive, a final reminder on 2026-2027 busing registration, and the district's 5th Annual District-Wide STEM Challenge. The School Committee has a Negotiating Subcommittee meeting scheduled for Monday, July 13 at 4 p.m. in the high school seminar room.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
While this week's arts and library programming updates come primarily from the Littleton, New Hampshire library's calendar rather than Littleton, Massachusetts sources, Littleton's town calendar shows Select Board members holding office hours, including a "Drop in Office Hours with Kyle Bubp" session scheduled for Friday, July 31.
