The board voted unanimously Wednesday to give the owner of a rented property at 37 Dogwood Road two more weeks — until July 12 — to address roughly two dozen violations identified in a May 4 inspection, with Health Agent Jim Gareffi set to re-inspect once repairs are complete. Attorney Cheryl Gould, representing the landlord, said contractor Kyle Mann would begin work the following Wednesday on items including a blocked egress door, electrical deficiencies, basement water infiltration, and exterior carpentry, with an electrician to follow. In a separate unanimous vote, the board suspended a $25 porta-potty permit process posted on its website after Chair Dan Kane said he could find no underlying bylaw or regulation authorizing the fee, which member Kevin Baker traced to conditions once placed on a specific Littleton event venue. The board directed staff to remove the permit form from the town website immediately and tasked Gareffi with providing a model single-page regulation from the town of Lancaster as a starting point for a formal rule.
