Littleton Council on Aging kicks off a strategic planning overhaul with outside consultants.
Council on Aging · Meeting of August 10, 2026
Littleton Council on Aging kicks off a strategic planning overhaul with outside consultants. Consultants Donnie Palmer and a colleague from Key Solutions presented a three-year rolling strategic plan model to the board, aiming for a completed draft by late November and public rollout by January or February. Director Liz reported a resident recovered $20,000 in duplicate health insurance payments through SHINE counselor Alicia Rago's work, calling it "way above and beyond." Member Marilyn Fedele pushed back on the consulting engagement, saying "we need a plan, not a consultant." Vice Chair Susan Melander reported the Turkey Farm affordable housing RFP is now under town counsel review and a Habitat for Humanity project has received its building permits.
The Disability Commission chair told the board the town's roughly 130-page ADA Transition Plan, adopted two weeks earlier, flags hundreds of thousands of dollars in accessibility needs, with state matching grants up to $250,000 a year potentially available.
