Shaker Lane panel approves $380,857 in invoices
Shakerlane School Building Committee - Sept. 16 · Meeting of September 16, 2026
Littleton's Shaker Lane school building committee approves $380,857 in invoices and forms an abutter outreach group. The committee voted 7-0 for a Green International peer-review contract and 7-0 for an $8,470 Studio G wetlands and wildlife study under Amendment 13, plus a not-to-exceed $7,500 for a hydric soil test and wetlands re-survey after Conservation Commission hearings in August and September. Sean Ahern was elected chairman and Mike Kyra vice chairman of a new four-member community outreach working group, formed after abutter Yolanda Davis asked for a direct meeting on construction impacts, calling the effort "commendable" but overdue.
The chairman separately criticized the OPM over a construction-management contract with Gilbane Building Company, calling it "not a little delayed... months," and said "please don't minimize it." The 60 percent construction-documents submission to the Massachusetts School Building Authority is due December 16.
