Shaker Lane Committee Approves Five Invoices, Delays Contract-Authority Policy

Shaker Lane School Building Committee · Meeting of August 19, 2026

Littleton's Shaker Lane School Building Committee flags an MSBA reimbursement gap while approving $4.5 million in project costs to date. Chris Trembley, of the owner's project manager team, told members that $481,000 of a $498,000 April invoice from designer Studio G exceeded the state's per-phase reimbursement cap. Member Steve Anuti pushed back, asking, "But aren't we supposed to be designing to budget?" The committee voted 5-0 twice, first approving July 22 minutes, then approving five project invoices including the disputed one.

Members also sent back for revision a draft policy that would let as few as two officials, potentially the chairman, vice chairman and town manager, approve contract changes between meetings, after resident Yolanda Davis was told during public comment to direct property-line and tree-removal questions through legal counsel rather than the committee.
