Littleton Schools Issue Final Busing Registration Reminder
LITTLETON — Littleton Public Schools issued a final reminder this week urging families to complete busing registration before the 2026-2027 school year begins, with staff returning Aug. 31 and K-12 students starting classes Sept. 1.
SCHOOLS The district's website carries a "FINAL REMINDER" notice pushing families who haven't yet signed up for busing for 2026-2027 to do so before the new year starts. Staff report back Aug. 31, K-12 classes open Sept. 1, and Littleton's pre-kindergarten program follows with its own start on Sept. 8, per the district calendar.
The district is also flagging two other back-to-school items: a return of its Used Sneaker Drive collection and a fifth annual district-wide STEM Challenge, both posted to the district news page as the new academic year approaches.
COMMUNITY & ARTS The town's community calendar lists a Community Block Party for Wednesday, Aug. 19, though further event details had not yet been posted as of this week.
COMING UP Town government has a full slate of meetings in the week ahead. The Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee, the Affordable Housing Trust and the Conservation Commission all meet Tuesday, Aug. 18, with the Conservation Commission continuing its public hearing on a proposed project at 35 Shaker Lane that evening. Also Wednesday, Aug. 19, the town has scheduled drop-in office hours with Mark Rambacher. The Zoning Board of Appeals and the Community Preservation Committee both meet Thursday, Aug. 20, the latter in a hybrid in-person and virtual session at Town Hall.
On the schools side, staff return Aug. 31 ahead of the Sept. 1 start of K-12 classes, with pre-kindergarten following Sept. 8.
