LITTLETON --

HIGH SCHOOL -- At the Sept. 24 School Committee meeting, Superintendent Mike presented Thompson with the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents' Certificate of Academic Excellence, an annual honor given to a student in the top 5% of the graduating class. Superintendent Mike described Thompson as "a dedicated runner" who has been "a four-year member of each track team, cross-country, spring and winter track" and currently serves as a captain. Thompson has also received the Harvard Book Award and multiple academic honors in mathematics. He told the committee his long-term goal is to run for the U.S. national team as a professional runner.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- Littleton Youth Baseball & Softball is calling for new volunteer board members, specifically seeking an Equipment Coordinator, Safety Coordinator, Website Coordinator, Social Media Coordinator and "Hit-a-Thon" Fundraiser Coordinator. Residents interested in getting involved can email president@littletonbaseball.org. The organization says it helped more than 500 local kids over the past year and, with sponsor support, installed new lights at Jet Softball Field.

Nashoba Youth Hockey Association, which serves youth players from Littleton, Westford and Tyngsboro, has registration open for its 2026-2027 season.
