LITTLETON — September 5, 2023 — Littleton Conservation Commission votes unanimously to advance Webster property acquisition toward fall Town Meeting. The commission authorized Conservation Agent Amy to prepare Community Preservation Act funding paperwork and finalize warrant language with Town Counsel and the state Department of Conservation and Recreation, leaving the purchase price blank until a bona fide developer offer from co-owner Lyle is received. Commission Chair Chase Kerby acknowledged the timeline is razor-thin, with the Town Meeting warrant closing within days and a CPC meeting potentially not possible before that deadline. Andrew, the commission's CPA point person, noted the town's open-space CPA bucket holds roughly $400,000, with bonding expected to cover most of any final purchase.
