Littleton Conservation Commission Tables Senior Center Soil Plan, Issues Six Unanimous Votes
LITTLETON — May 2, 2023 — Littleton Conservation Commission tabled a Senior Center soil-relocation briefing, amended a development enforcement order, and issued six unanimous votes at a two-and-a-half-hour meeting May 2. The commission, chaired by Sarah Seward and joined by members Brian Crowley, Kyle Maxwell, Kyle Malberg, Michael Livingston, and Chase Gerbig, rejected an informal Senior Center presentation after civil engineer Eric Wilhelmson of CDW acknowledged the wetlands near the proposed soil-deposit area at the town ball field had never been delineated; Gerbig called proceeding without that information "a grand waste of everyone's time." On Foss Place, the commission unanimously amended an active enforcement order to allow Seal Harbor Development's Mark Gallagher to remove an unpermitted studio, accepting a restoration plan of 17 replacement trees plus blueberry and cranberry shrubs, subject to an 80-percent survivability check at three years. The commission also approved an Order of Conditions for a failed-cesspool replacement at 10 Ivy Road (MassDEP 204-0982), issued a land use permit for a Girl Scout troop geocaching event at Long Lake Park, and recognized Michael Livingston for completing MACC fundamentals training.
