Littleton Conservation Commission Approves Wetlands Restoration Plan, Issues Dock Permit

LITTLETON — November 12, 2024 — Littleton's Conservation Commission voted unanimously to approve a wetlands restoration plan for a property at zero Ipswich Road and issued a negative determination for a lakeside structure rebuild at 3 Sarah Indian Way at its November 12 meeting. For the Ipswich Road enforcement case, the commission approved a plan by Flyte Associates calling for 17 native trees and shrubs and full reseeding of the disturbed area, setting a May 15, 2025 installation deadline after commissioners concluded that late-fall planting carried unacceptable risk given dry conditions and limited nursery stock at Bigelow Nurseries in Northborough. A separate enforcement case at 15 Powers Road was continued two weeks to November 26, with property owner John McGogan directed to return with either a completed survey or a signed surveyor engagement letter and a date certain, ahead of a scheduled court hearing on outstanding fines around November 27. The commission also voted unanimously to approve its fiscal year 2026 budget with a $3,000 to $6,000 salary increase placeholder for a new conservation hire following Conservation Agent Amy's announced retirement on February 27, 2025.
