Historical Commission · Meeting of October 14, 2026
Littleton's Historical Commission voted 4-2 that a house and barn at 152 Tahattawan Road are not historically significant, clearing the way for a demolition permit. Members Andrew Watt, Linda Stein, Elizabeth M Mubarek and Donna White found the property lacked historic significance, while Kristopher O Dalen and Rachael Robinson dissented; new member Myla abstained on her first night on the board. Homeowner Steve, who has lived in the house 40 years, said rodent infestation and structural decay left it "way more than I can deal with." The commission also voted unanimously to waive its annual in-person interior inspection at 12 Robinson Road for 2026, accepting at least 15 photographs instead after Historic Preservation Consultant Shanti flagged a tenant's legal right to refuse entry.
Members compared the Tahattawan property to two other neighborhood houses previously demolished, in 2008 and 2022.
