Clean Lakes Chair To Step Down In January
Littleton's Clean Lakes Committee chairman announced his retirement and the panel weighed the Mill Pond Dam's future.
Clean Lakes Committee · Meeting of October 22, 2026
Littleton's Clean Lakes Committee chairman announced his retirement and the panel weighed the Mill Pond Dam's future. Chairman John Folsom told the committee he will step down in January after "27 years" leading the group, while members spent most of the October 22 meeting debating how to engage residents on a Mill Pond Dam removal study estimated at $1 million, plus or minus $200,000, with one member pegging the full project near $2 million. Member Mark Rambacher argued the committee needs to take an advocacy position to get public buy-in, saying "if you're not going to that meeting advocating for it to come out, it's not going to come out," while member Gerard Cavallo said he wants outside scientists to "coach" the committee first.
The panel declined to vote on prospective member Kim Hall, who had no open Mill Pond seat, and set its next meeting for Nov. 19.
