Littleton Sustainability Committee schedules June 25 Climate Action Plan vote. Seven committee members voted unanimously to approve prior meeting minutes and scheduled June 25 for formal adoption of the plan, intended for Select Board endorsement on July 13. Community input from a May 21 forum, attended by Select Board members and Town Administrator Jim Duggan, emphasized interest in banning single-use plastics and Styrofoam.

The committee also discussed a proposed National Grid liquefied natural gas facility on Kimball Farm property, straddling Littleton and Westford, that would serve approximately 13,000 customers during winter months and replace an expiring facility at 550 King Street. A Planning Board hearing is scheduled for July 9.
