Sustainability Committee advances climate action plan with collaborative approach
Sustainability Committee · Meeting of February 12, 2026
Littleton Sustainability Committee plans collaborative review of climate action plan. The four-member committee heard a presentation from six high school juniors on sustainable seafood production and reviewed a 50-page draft Climate Action Plan developed by the Northern Middlesex Council of Governments. Committee members identified buildings (64 percent of the town's emissions), transportation (34 percent), energy, waste, and agriculture as priority sectors and agreed to route the draft to other town departments and boards for feedback by March 2.
Members committed to annual reviews and five-year revisions to ensure it functions as a living document. The committee also welcomed prospective member Libby Donegan.
