Shaker Lane Building Committee approves contract extensions for design phase work

LITTLETON — Shaker Lane Building Committee advances design-phase contracts for $99.7 million school project. Chair Stephen M Moore and committee members unanimously approved contract extensions for Turner & Townsend Heery as Owner's Project Manager and Studio G as Architect & Engineer, along with a preconstruction agreement with Gilbane Building Company, the Construction Manager at Risk selected in December. The Design Development phase runs through May 29, 2026, with submission to the Massachusetts School Building Authority targeted for July 10, 2026.
The new elementary school, serving 435 students in 97,232 gross square feet, is scheduled for substantial completion April 25, 2029, with opening August 28, 2029.
