SELECT BOARD, FINANCE COMMITTEE APPROVE $40K ELDER SERVICES BOOST

Littleton Select Board and Finance Committee boost elder services funding. The boards unanimously voted to increase FY2026 funding for the Elder and Human Services revolving account from $20,000 to $60,000, responding to a 132-percent surge in program participation over one year. Elder and Human Services Director Liz Tretiak reported that 400 people signed up for membership at The Center when it opened in May, with daily meal attendance and program participation jumping 132 percent.
The department purchased a fully accessible electric van for $115,000, with 80 percent grant-funded. Both boards also heard FY27 budget presentations from six departments and voted to enter executive session on collective bargaining strategies.
