Littleton Select Board backs police transition and historic preservation. Board voted unanimously to appoint Jeffrey M. Patterson as Interim Chief of Police effective May 1, 2026, at Grade 21, Step 6, and to approve an employment agreement amendment for departing Police Chief Matthew Pinard.
In a separate unanimous vote, the board approved a preservation restriction on the Whitcomb House at 31 Foster Street to be held by Historic New England, following a recommendation from the Littleton Historical Commission. The board also authorized Town Administrator James A. Duggan to execute a construction contract with Monadnock Commercial Building Company for second-floor renovation work at 37 Shattuck Street (town offices) and adopted a resolution to file a loan application for a water lead and copper rule compliance project, having received $140,000 in grant funding with an additional $34,000 sought.
The board appointed Meagan Murphy as Director of Veterans Services for a three-year term effective July 1, 2026, at 20 hours per week while she maintains her part-time role in Pepperell.
