School Committee · Meeting of March 12, 2026
Littleton School Committee approves $26.5M FY27 budget. Chair Justin McCarthy presented the $26,519,402 town appropriation request with total school spending of $31,587,709, approved unanimously on motion by Sean Aherne and Elaine P Santelmann. The Committee's deliberations centered on curriculum as multi-year investment, intentional spend-down of revolving reserves to offset budget requests, and reinstatement of the Tigers Den facility rental fee suspended during the pandemic.
Superintendent Kelly R Clenchy highlighted district accomplishments and next year's priorities. Chair McCarthy noted similar reliance on revolving funds anticipated for FY28 as the district navigates inflation, rising employee benefit costs, and upcoming contractual negotiations for busing and salaries.
