Littleton Select Board unanimously appoints Lieutenant Douglas Landry as next Police Chief. The Select Board unanimously voted to appoint Lieutenant Douglas Landry as Police Chief pending successful contract negotiations, concluding an internal search that drew four candidates from within the Littleton Police Department. Landry, with 14 years of service including roles as patrol officer, SWAT team member, and administrator, succeeds retiring Chief Jeff Patterson effective September 1, 2026.

During his public interview, Landry outlined his vision for the department: fostering officer pride and morale, rebuilding personal community-officer connections, and establishing departmental excellence as a regional standard. Chair Gary C Wilson expressed enthusiasm for the quality of the candidate pool and the future of the department.
