Littleton Select Board Approves Signing of Inspector General Application for School Construction Manager

LITTLETON — June 10, 2025 — Littleton Select Board signs off on Inspector General application for $98.1 million school project. The board voted 4-0 on June 10 to authorize signing the state Office of the Inspector General application required before the town can use a construction manager at risk procurement method for the project, which carries an $81 million estimated construction cost. Member Mark Kranbacher raised a last-minute concern that draft language in paragraph four of the application gave the building committee only "a representative" on the selection and negotiation committee, leaving town interests potentially outnumbered by the owner's project manager and designer. A project representative confirmed that at least three building committee members are expected to serve on the selection committee and agreed to change the language to "representatives." The corrected application, which also updates OPM and designer cost figures to $3 million and $8.2 million respectively, will now be submitted to the OIG for approval.
