Littleton Select Board and Finance Committee hear FY27 departmental budget presentations

LITTLETON — Select Board and Finance Committee heard FY27 departmental budget presentations from nine departments. Library Director Sam Alvarez reported circulation growth of 67.5%, from 117,000 in 2021 to 196,000 in the past year. LCTV Director Mark Crory warned that FY27 will be the first year the department is not fully self-funded, with a projected $47,000 annual shortfall due to declining cable subscriptions.

Employee Benefits are budgeted at $10,740,780, reflecting a doubling of the OPEB contribution from $700,000 to $1.4 million.
