Littleton Marks 25th Anniversary of Sept. 11 at Firehouse Ceremony
September 11th Remembrance · Meeting of September 11, 2026
Littleton holds 25th anniversary Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony at town firehouse. The brief service honored the 2,977 people killed in the 2001 attacks and the 343 FDNY members who died responding, with an officiant telling attendees each victim "had a story." A prayer segment asked for strength for first responders and their families and "courage without hatred, strength without vengeance" amid ongoing division. The ceremony closed with a fire-service bell rung "in memory of those whose final alarm came on September 11, 2001," and thanks extended to the Rotary Club for its role in the event.
No town business or votes occurred; the roughly seven-minute service was purely commemorative.
