Library Trustees Reorganize Leadership and Affirm Meadow Commitment
Board of Library Trustees · Meeting of May 14, 2026
Littleton Library Trustees reorganize leadership and commit to meadow stewardship. The Board of Library Trustees unanimously elected Sarah Donovan as Chair, updated Director Sam Alvarez's contract to include annual COLA increases and merit steps effective July 1, 2027, and affirmed its commitment to maintaining the library's wildflower meadow with a formal management plan. The decision followed a presentation by volunteer Erin Jade, who described native plantings she developed on the library slope to support at-risk insects; multiple residents testified in support of the environmentally significant project.
Trustees also unanimously approved digitization of Vincent Couper's Snake Pit series by Boston Public Library and expanded the Policy Committee to include Felicia Baruffi.
