Finance Committee, Select Board present balanced FY27 budget

Finance Committee · Meeting of January 14, 2026

Littleton Finance Committee and Select Board present balanced FY27 budget after resolving $1.5M deficit. Finance Committee Chair Steve Venuti credited the outcome to a $600,000 school department reduction, comparable town department cuts, and a renegotiated health insurance plan providing lower premiums for employees and the municipality. The budget funds the town 1.8 percent below prior-year spending.

Approximately $6 million in Parks and Recreation capital projects, including a dog park, community pool, and Faith Street Park renovation, were deferred to fiscal years 2028 and 2029.
