Disability Commission seeks early involvement in ADA-compliance planning
Disability Commission · Meeting of May 15, 2026
Littleton Disability Commission presses for early ADA compliance input on town projects. Vice Chair George A Sanders expressed concern that the Commission has been excluded from planning stages at 550 King Street and 410 Great Road, only to discover compliance issues after construction begins. Members approved a regular monthly meeting schedule for the second Friday of each month and noted that the ADA Title II compliance deadline has been extended to April 2028.
Member Erich Manser reported the Commission's 50-percent-complete grant includes mandatory employee ADA training scheduled for May 26, while Member Gary C Wilson raised concerns about only 50 percent of transportation requests being fulfilled, proposing a second van shift.
