Littleton Conservation Commission issues enforcement orders for unauthorized Forge Pond work and backs lake management funding. Co-Chairs Chase Gerbig and Sarah Seaward led the meeting where the commission voted 6-0 to issue Enforcement Orders at two Blood Road properties for unauthorized removal of approximately 70 cubic yards of sediment, leaves, and muck from Forge Pond's drawdown area without Army Corps of Engineers permits. The commission also voted unanimously to support four Community Preservation Committee applications totaling $150,000 for Forge Pond and Long Lake herbicide treatment and lake management plans, increasing budgets by $3,000 each for contingency.
