Littleton Cemetery Commission hears $213,916 FY27 budget request. Chair Andrew Sammarco presented the Cemetery Department's revised operating budget, including wages of $183,416 and expenses of $30,500, during a joint meeting with the Finance Committee and Select Board. The department requested approximately $78,000 for replacement of an aging cemetery service truck and identified future capital needs including cemetery administrative building rehabilitation and potential acquisition of a mini excavator.
Cemetery Superintendent Thomas Bailey highlighted ongoing accomplishments including Sullivan Loop expansion, new grave space development, and continuation of the historic gravestone preservation program with Community Preservation Act support. Trust Fund Commissioners expressed interest in a future joint meeting to discuss use of trust funds for building-related needs.
