Cemetery Commission approves Eagle Scout flag holder project
Cemetery Commission · Meeting of February 2, 2026
LITTLETON — Cemetery Commission greenlights Eagle Scout flag holder project for veteran graves. Ivan Pagacik motioned approval of Jude McMahon's proposal to install metal flag holders at Old Burying Ground and Westlawn Cemetery graves, with the motion passing unanimously 3-0. In routine election business, Andrew Sammarco was re-elected Chair and Carolyn Mueller re-elected Clerk.
The Commission learned that Pontem, its grave-mapping software provider, is shutting down, requiring a future migration to a new platform. The Charter Committee has recommended the Cemetery Department move under Public Works authority, with commissioners shifting from elected to appointed positions; the Commission registered disagreement with this plan.
