Board requests sanitarian and mental health worker for understaffed department.
Board of Health · Meeting of September 23, 2026
LITTLETON — Board requests sanitarian and mental health worker for understaffed department. The Board of Health voted unanimously to request that Health Director Kelli Calo seek a full-time Sanitarian and part-time Behavioral Health Social Worker in the FY28 budget, citing the Health Department's failure to meet state statute requirements due to current understaffing. Chair Kevin E Baker, Vice Chair Daniel Kane, Clerk Elizabeth Donegan, and members Matt Wayson and Kevin Davis each voted yes.
Littleton currently has no Sanitarian—a position Calo noted is standard in comparable communities.
